O God, my heart is ready to burst with melodies.
My prayers have ripened into song;
Let me awaken with the dawn
to lift my voice in praise.
O God, my heart is ready.

O God, my heart is ready filled with your heavenly love.
Teach me to sing on earth awhile,
With voice and spirit of a child,
as angels sing above.
O God, my heart is ready.

O God, my heart is ready; make it your instrument.
Let me, within the choral art
present to you, O God, my heart
in anthems without end.
O God, my heart is ready.
